Aged 40 - has been training within Seido
karate UK for 19 years and was Kyoshi Roger Thyer-Jones first student
when he started Seido Karate in the UK in 1985. Stuart gained his
Shodan 1st degree black belt promotion in 1993 at Honbu (headquarters)
in New York City under Kaicho Nakamura. He has subsequently visited
Honbu several times to train under Kaicho Nakamura, including the
20th anniversary world Seido Karate Tournament in 1996, when he took
part in the knockdown Kumite competition and to take his Sandan (3rd
degree black belt) promotion in 2000. In March 2006 he took his Senei promotion at Honbu.
