Information about Karate at Tylers Green

Welcome to Seido Karate Tylers Green. We are part of the World Seido Karate Organisation, founded by Kaicho (Grand Master) Nakamura, a 9th degree black belt and pre- eminent martial arts instructor, in 1976. Seido Karate was introduced to the United Kingdom by Jun Shihan(New Master) Roger Thyer- Jones, a 6th degree black belt, in 1985.

We now have branches in Hughenden Valley , Great Kingshill, Lacey Green, Chiswick, Fulham, Dover and Padstowe in Cornwall . Our own dojo( training place) in Tylers Green was started in 2001 by Sensei Stuart Wilson.

We have classes for both adults and children( aged 7-15) and we train Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings.

Seido means sincere way, and our intention is to make Karate training accessible to everybody, whatever their age, ability or condition. We have many outstanding students, with a variety of skills but everyone is welcome. All we ask is that you try your hardest and work to the best of your ability.

You will find a friendly and supportive atmosphere at what we call Seido Juku – Special place to train. Please ask any of the instructors if you have a question or concern, they will be pleased to help you. Also attached is some helpful advice about dojo etiquette, a glossary of terms, membership form, syllabus sheet, and a list of training fees and equipment costs. Again, if you have any queries, please ask one of the instructors on the front desk.
